Anything BESIDES DB651?

I am looking to upgrade the speakers in my G8, and I see alot of people are getting the Polk DB651 6.5'' coaxials. I've never really used them, but I used to sell them quite often in my old Circuit City roadshop days, they were good back in the day and I am going to assume they are probably still good. Has anyone used anything else in this car besides the polk..Just coaxials, not looking for components.

yeah,i started with the polks and one went on me so now i have infinity and very happy...same money slightly better sound

I use the Polk's, but just blew 2 of them (Jensen 760 amp) 4 x 75 watts RMS...... I'm going to replace them with 2 more Polks, but like GT-610 & MGM GT said.... you may want to check out Alpine & Infinity......

i would have stayed with polk but warranty is butkiss on that particular model.they dont honor much unless you step up to momo stuff

What infinitys? I have a JL sub and for some reason I want JL speakers, but alpines would do nicely too. should I be concerned about mounting depth or anything?

I have two brand new pairs of XR650CXi coxials that I was considering installing, but have decided to probably use the ZR650CSi components that I only used for about a month in my grand prix... let me know if you're interested...

I know. I saw that the entry level Alpines are good up to like ~ 240 watt max, my Polk db651 speakers are rated for 180 watts max power...... If I blow any more Polks I'll save some money and just get 4 Alpines......
