Keyfob went dead.

I only was given one keyfob with the car. Now, it's dead. wtf. I tried changing the battery, and no luck. Now, I need to use the key, and the damn horn beeps until I start the car.

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm hoping it's still under warranty. 22k miles, 2008. I forget the warranty terms.

It's still under warranty, and they'll order you a new one. I had to have one ordered because one of mine only worked half the time.

It was very unreliable. Maybe it finally died. You're right, they'll probably order a new one before they try anything else.

Now I just need to figure out what to do with the spare key. It looks like it's cut identical, yet it won't start the car. poopy.

Mine did EXACTLY this the other day when I left the gym. I manually unlocked, it honked, I inserted the key into the ignition, turned and it shut off. I then removed the key, grabbed my head phones and headed back in and locked the doors as I walked away. It was an isolated event so far so I don't know what the deal is.

They gave me a new one under warranty. Works like it never did before. Since I bought the car, the range has been terrible, and I've had to press the button 100 times to get it to work. It was a going joke with my friends. Now, it works like a charm, with decent range.
