I just received my new VE Onyx steering wheel today. It took about an hour and a half to install and it looks beautiful.

One thing I might suggest (I don't know if it's been said) in your instructions it says to install the steering wheel then install the lower column cover. That didn't work for me I had to back out the steering wheel bolt about half way and pull the wheel foward so I could slide the cover on. It would have been better to put the cover on first.

Great feedback. The instructions were pulled together from a few different places and really need to be revised.
Some people say the column covers dont need to come off at all.
I guess GM wrote the initial documents with all bases covered so nothing could come back and bite them.
