Everytime I stop at a traffic light the engine seems to shake for 5-10 seconds and then stops. It is just a slight shake and I can only feel it in my feet and on the steering wheel. Anyone else have a similar issue? What is causing it? Is there an issue with the engine?

I test drove a couple used ones before buying mine new and all of them did it. Not sure what causes it but seems to be an issue with all of them.

I think its the afm cam doing it.

It's the V8 saying it's HUNGRY! completely normal for V8s

It's not really an issue unless you get a DTC. I think the unique firing order causes it.

Every American V8 I have ever had has done this. It would be an issue if it did not do it. :)

Mine does it occasionally as well but is most likely to do so after having been in cruise control. Perhaps the unused cylinders get a little cold and it takes time for them to equalize.

It's a 6.0L V8 with a cam that throws the engine into a ton of different modes on light loads. It sounds normal.

normal... doesn't matter if I have AFM enabled or not. More likely to happen when it's cold, once it warms up no problem

It doesnt matter if you disable afm, its still there unless you swap the cam.

Never bad, I believe headers even it out. Even at start up.

Not sure what causes it but seems to be a High Output, performance characteristic with all of them.

fixed - not sure issue was the right word to use here ... :D

I think mine does it also, but I swear I heard it say " punch me, punch me, comeon and punch me..." and then stops......

gr8lover ... R U sure "547rwhp; 472rwtq; best run: (1 run)-- 13.6@110mph" - I think you mean "11.6", no, unless your track was uphill :-)

Yeah, my G8 shakes like a chihuaua at the North Pole, it wants to go! My friend has a Viper GTS-R with like 850+HP and you have to watch how much fiber you eat because you'll crap yourself when sitting at a light.

I agree with all of you... But be careful posting that on a certain recent thread on the other board: you might be called an ignorant, unintelligent savage that types/talks like a moron and doesn't know what they're talking about.

My G8 GT shakes when it is stopped at the light or in park. I took it in to have it checked and everything is normal with the car. On another note, what do you all think should be the first upgrade on the car. I am thinking air intake. Then work my self to some headers with exhaust.

if you up your idle from 550, to 600 it feels smoother and doesnt do it as often, but like the others said, its nothing to worry about, they all do it.

Mine has/had done it since day 1. And for some reason stopped 2 days ago. After i removed the intake manifold cover. I just lossned and lifted the fuel rail/w injectors and the vacum line...weird.
