Does anyone have a sound clip outside of the car with the Kooks or ARH Long tube headers with the stock mufflers?

I thought ARH had a sound clip. I can't find it but it seems like I remember seeing one. Maybe someone will post it up.

When I put the stock mufflers back on I can do it. It's 37 out right now, I'm not doing it this morning. LOL

I guess charlie does not have one either.

Come on Ray, don't be a wuss! :)

Just kidding! Ya know, I've never posted a video clip before. I promise I'll make one of Kooks LT Headers with high flow cats & the stock axle back system. The sound both inside & outside is perfect, and 99% no drone issues.

I can't do the video clip today, but I have tomorrow on vacation (Friday 10/31), so I can do it then.

Hey Mike
Did you get that sound clip?
I'm considering LTs and am a little worried they will be to loud for a daily driver.

The headers with the stock mufflers is the way to go.

They are perfect for a daily driver. 99% no drone. My wife would kill me if there was any sort of drone. At WOT it sounds mean, and when you stand behind the car to do a rev it sounds good, but inside at cruising there is no cabin drone. :)

It's getting dark, but I'll go take a video clip.... brb... :)

Yet another hour has gone by, maybe he fell asleep? LOL

I did fall asleep. :)

And I do have DSL :)

In any event here you go. It's a 4 minute clip I put on You Tube. I'll only make 1-2 min videos in the future. 4 min is too long to upload.

Next time I'll have a rev with the camera from behind the car. Also, I have the camera inside the car on a short drive, to capture the no drone.

Here's another clip on You Tube. Looks like someone from New York, American Racing LT Headers with the stock mufflers......

Mine sounds pretty much like this from the back. Mine sounds a bit better. :)

Your right, I liked your car's sound better. And it does have a really nice sound both at idle and when you rev it. It's a bit meaner than mine but ... it's all good!

Thanks for the clips. If you could I would love to hear it from inside the car and also outside of the car when you are taking off.

Listening to the clips on here, the difference that I like between the two is you don't hear the popping sound after the rev with the Kooks that I hear with the ARH.

There should be a new clip up soon. I just had my G8 on Livernois' dyno with the stock mufflers with ARH.

Tomorrow I'll take another 1 minute video clip of the back of the car. This time I'll keep the video camera on the ground in back of the car while I rev it.

the popping only happens on a cold start like that...
