The rear is done! Here are the pics of the differential bushings. I would say for those on a budget, get the X and diff bushings.

It would void the suspension warranty as most of the factory components are gone.

Man that looks good under a red car!

RR struggled with the front bar. They lowered the engine cradle and that allowed the stock bar to come out but the Pedders bar with its bigger ends was a beast. It was much easier to do after the RR are removed.

Doesn't the diff bushing change require a special alignment tool? Do you have it, or is there another way to do the measurements?

Keep at it...looking great! I did pretty much everything on my GTO...lots of work!

Have you started the car without the mufflers? I bet it sounds good.

No special tool, press them out and slide them in.

You know I did! When I installed the headers and last night. Maybe today too! I thought about taking it home last night like that, but after tuning my X-Mach 1 Sunday in the driveway, I dont think I am getting Christmas cards from any of my neighbors! LOL

Thats my plan. Strip the front down, put the sway bar in and then put it back together.

LOL Maybe your neighbors would warm up to you if you did a nice smoky burnout at around 11:00 pm. Without the mufflers of course.

I havent done that since I have been back in Texas, but when I lived in Ga a neighbor had some kind of party early in the day, I get home and they had my driveway blocked! I go down to the end of the hill/cul-de-sac and dump the clutch in the Mach at 6k and smoked them up the hill, got out opened the garage, fired up my Z71 Tahoe and yelled out " I am backing up in 5 minutes and I am not looking!" My driveway was cleared in 2 minutes! LOL

Charlie, what was all of the noise posted by the Pedders folks about the need for a special alignment tool required after changing the differential bushings? I agree that it doesn't entail much work to swap them, but I thought that their tool was needed afterwards.

Special tool to remove yes. I made one. All thread, and a piece of pipe and 2 steel adapter from my hub tamer set.
