I figured I would go to Dodge's site and do a comparison between these two cars to see what they came up with.

Year/Make:
2009 Dodge 2dr Cpe R/T
2009 Pontiac 4dr Sdn GT

Model:
Challenger $29,820.00
G8 $31,555.00

2009 Dodge Challenger 2dr Cpe R/T has the following advantages over the 2009 Pontiac G8 4dr Sdn GT

• 15 more horsepower (370 vs 355).
• 13 more ft/lbs of torque (398 vs 385).
• 19 more miles cruising range in the city (304 vs 285).
• 19 more miles cruising range on the highway (475 vs 456).
• Performance tires standard, versus available.
• Driver's Front-Impact Airbag is standard, versus not available.
• 58 pound(s) less base curb weight (3937 vs 3995).

I then went to Pontiac's web site and did the same thing. Any guesses?

Found it funny how the horsepower was derated on the Dodge website. Maybe it's just Daimler Chrysler trying to get more sales. They need to show some :respect:

I have already victimized the SRT8 version of it so I look forward to 1 of the R/Ts getting frisky. :spank:

There was a thread on the OTHER board about GM re-rating the G8 to 355 hp.

Am I reading incorrectly, but does that say that the G8 doesn't have an airbag?

Makes me feel well padded in my Clubsport.

I can count, 2 A pillar airbags. 1 Drivers airbag. 1 Passenger airbag. 2 side curtain airbags. 2 C pillar airbags.

They're all over the place in mine, front and side.

This was not an all inclusive list of features. I just tried to narrow it down to eng. specs.

Doesn't matter, I can't get a single R/T to race me.
