GXP Registry Expansion Update

Alright folks since it sounds like GM isn't going to go out of it's way to get us stats on the GXP like I thought they might, I am going to take it upon myself to gather further details to do this right. I am going back to find the last 6 of people's VINs when they posted them. This is truly the only way to avoid duplication on the list, as many have suggested. If you didn't post your last 6, I would really appreciate if you would share this for the sake of an accurate registry. I also need to verify the VINs of the cars that we know were totalled, and I will note that on the registry. I will try to have a website up and running at some point. I am now pulling in stats on GXPs for sale as well. That has allowed me to pull up an additional 50 cars in the last few days. If you can assist me in my search, post in this thread, send me a PM, or email me at sunbird93racer@yahoo.com. If you insist on remaining anonymous, I can do that. The public information will only list car info, not owner info. Hope people find this change helpful!

Well folks, I have now been able to verify 500 GXPs! But I only have VINs for 318 of those. I see that alot of folks have viewed this thread, but I am lacking last 6 of VIN for most of the members of this board. I would really appreciate you sharing this information to insure as complete and accurate a registry as possible. Once the site is up and running, I will not be listing anyone's name, screenname, or mods on it. I will only list last 6 of VIN, color, transmission, interior color, sunroof status, and state. This will make the registry useful, but still somewhat anonymous. Please share this information with me at least by PM for the benefit of the entire GXP Community (and little to no risk to you). Thank you for sharing! As I mentioned, if folks would prefer to only submit these by PM, that is just fine. I don't plan to include a person's name or screenname on any site that we get up and running. We have to have the last 6 of VIN to avoid duplication. This is alot of work, but it's a labor of love, and will hopefully be very helpful to the GXP Community for years to come!

Hello, we are a newcomer to this site. We have 2009 G8 GXP, Body color is black, interior color is Red/Black, Automatic Transmission with no mods, have a sunroof and we are from Iowa. The last six of our VIN # 300720.

Thanks for the stats. If you are in Central IA, you should really consider brining your GXP to the National G8 Meet in the Quad Cities in August. That would be a very short trip for you! Congrats on the great ride!

Since first asking for this additional information, I have had a very positive response. I am now up to 541 GXPs verified overall (29.58% of overall production), and 358 GXPs verified including VIN (19.57% of overall production). As soon as I find some free time, I want to sit down and drop PMs to each of the members of this site that I haven't gotten complete verification from. I really appreciate everyone's cooperation. As mentioned before, I will not be linking owner names or screen names up with VINs on any public forums. If someone contacts me asking to be put in touch with an owner, I will forward the information to the owner and allow them to decide how to proceed. I think this information will be a great resource to the entire community, and the more complete it is, the more helpful it will be. Thanks for helping to make it as good as it can be!
