Jeebus! Are those cars gona be totalled by insurance?

Some for sure.
Guys are reporting 100 golfball sized dents per car, smashed windscreens, some families with 3 cars + house windows, air conditioners, awnings etc all smashed to shit.

That is a very impressive hail storm. Sorry about all the damage.

We had a storm like that hit Columbus a couple of years ago. It hit one of the biggest car dealers in the state and caused millions in damages. From time to time I still see cars driving around with hundreds of hail stone dents all over them. Instead of fixing the car the dealer just sold them at a very discounted rate and pocketed the insurance money.

We had one about the same intensity here last summer. I had just gotten in the door from food shopping and crash! It sounded exactly the same as that video and the hail stones were about the same size. My G8 was caught in it and it took over a month to get it back, the body shop did a great job though and my second hood was put on. I posted something about it last year in the lounge. There was a lot of damage, roofs, cars etc. I ended up changing insurance companies because they fought the body shop so much. Half the car had to be repainted.

That doesn't work for hail like that. Mine had to be sanded and painted in a lot of areas.

Naah they're not really pets, more like free range lizards. They're free to do anything they want including leave. I haven't seen any of them for about 3 months. I went looking a few weeks ago and saw from about 3 feet away just the tail of a brown snake disappearing behind my garden shed. That was enough of a wildlife adventure for the next 3 months so I retreated back to the house.

If the lizards are still here they would have figured out that the garden sprinklers come on twice a week and they can drink that water.

Many years ago (after a big hailstorm) there were a lot of cars suddenly in car yards with vinyl roofs. I've never seen a VE with a vinyl roof but if I do I'll know what's underneath.

holy crap I guess hail damage isnt something normally offered in aussie land..

One week after the end of summer is the weird bit.
It was probably a once in 10 or 20 yr ferocity hailstorm regardless of season.

About 2 weeks after Melbourne, Perth got hit with a savage hailstorm.
About 500 hail damaged cars were just sold at auction.
