Will these work in the G8? Says there for the Sierra. What if anything has to be done to them prior to install. And finally what are the install procedures, to include notifying ON-Star. Would this be similiar to what Chris was offering?

I still don't think a 2008 Sierra ever had bluetooth.

It is the correct box but needs to be reprogrammed by Chris.

The install is simple, the box is in the truck held by two clips. It takes less than 5 mins to do.

I am pretty sure it was optional... I know it is standard on the 2009 midrange and up

nope, there are a lot of sierra/yukon customers that would kill for bluetooth in pre-2009 vehicles.

I got my box today and the part number is right/legit and is being sent off to Chris for reprogramming. Perhaps the seller didn't know what car it was for.

Got mine too. Wished he would have packed it better. No padding whatsoever. Box was in perfect condition so I should be fine though.

$125 for the re-program. You need to get an onstar box with either P/N 25984444 OR # 20783877 (newer box, preferred.) Figure about $200 plus the antenna P/N# 15938939 (about $20 on ebay.) Another 45-50 bucks shipping for a total around 4 bills. Fairly cheap when you consider how much it would cost on the new car order form.
