Copy and pasting the address from the bar at top doesn't work?
http://www.forum.grrrr8.net/showthread.php?t=14990 will take you straight to this thread...
Am I not understanding the question?

mine always says grrrr8.net no matter where an am in the forum?
what browser you using?
If you go to one screen above the one you are looking for (in the case of this message "board issues") you can find your message in the list, right click it and go to "copy link as" or "copy shortcut"... then you can paste the link into whatever you are doing.

Go to the thread you want to send a link. From that thread, click in the address bar of your browser. Hold down the control key (pc) and press c. Link is copied to clipboard.
Paste it in your pm or email program. Hold down control key and press v.
If you want to put a keyword in place of the link:
[url=
after the = sign, paste your link, close it with another bracket ] Then type the keyword you want to use. Then end it with [ /url]

if you come in through grrrr8.net then indeed the address bar doesn't change.
You can always go to: forum.grrrr8.net
In your case though you can right click and do a 'copy link location' of the thread you want to copy the link to (at least in FireFox, not sure what its called in IE)

What Ray was saying in a nutshell is, start at this address http://forum.grrrr8.net and then go to the thread that you want link. Once on that thread copy the link from the address bar at the top of the page. Once it's copied go to the PM and right click and paste the link in the PM.

I've had this problem using Internet Explorer before when I've gone on here on my school computers.
Use Firefox or Chrome, they're way better.

I use Internet Explorer...
If you find a thread you want to post up, I just right click and open in new window and then you can copy/paste the link.
