meet at 2:00. The Suds gets realy packed by 5:00 - 6:00.

Thanks to those who made it out for the last one. So lets see how many we can get this year.

no really we have the room. You will find 100-150 cars on saturday night. That is why we meet at 2:00 about 5:00 it starts to get full and by 7:00 it will be crazy. That 100-150 is a guess I have never counted. It contains about 3 parking lots,and the tenderloins well lets just say they are really good



on a totally personal level I would love to see a Stryker Blue show up!!!

Put me down as a definite maybe. Still a bit early, but, having lived in Indy for about a dozen years I still like to get back. Besides two Indy road trips in May sounds like fun to me. Especially since my favorite micro brew is close to the Suds. I can pick up a growler or two of Razz Wheat at the Oaken Barrel and bootleg them back! I'm sure my car could outrun the revenue man! LOL.

As of right now, I am planning on heading up and I probably will bring my son along since he is a car nut. I just hope work or nothing else falls to shit to keep from showing up. Any car washes close to the suds? I know I will have major bug impacts from I70.

no problem Chris.rumor has it painters tape will not leave a residue,I have not tried it. We use a plastic wrap at work that I have tested on the car and does not leave a residue. I will use it for the trip to Iowa in August.

The Suds! If You're Speeding, You Might Miss It. It's The Illinois Version Of Back-Alley Moonshine Runners And Guys You'll Likely Meet If You Dare To Turn Off Of Main Street.

The street machiners and rodders have been cruisin' here since 1962. The Suds drive-in was built in 1957, but most locals can't remember a time when a summer Saturday night wasn't filled with hot cars and the aroma of unburned hydrocarbons. The Suds is a smooth blend of old and new. The bikes, trucks, and sport compacts try to blend in, but '60s-and-later musclecars rule the scene.

The location is Greenwood, Indiana, about a 20-minute ride from downtown Indianapolis. Just point your hoodscoop south on I-65 and follow the first Impala that rumbles past. Power parking begins around 5 p.m. The Suds drive-in is literally in a little hollow behind a convenience store and the local NAPA store. You'll miss it if you're not tuned in. But that's OK, because after 6 p.m., all you have to do is join the line of cars-The Suds is at the center of all the activity. Owners Rick and Melody Wray hire off-duty Greenwood police officers to keep the peace, and members of The Suds Hot Rod Club keep it all cool. This is small-town cruisin' at its best: laid back fun with a heavy whiff of horsepower. And that's the point of Cruisin' USA, Car Craft's summer adventure across the USA. Did we see you there?

the rain held off!!!! we had a good time. the Suds was not busy but that is ok. and we ran the Mustangs out of "their parking area",the looks on their faces was priceless.

yes it rained here in the morning. I did not think we would be able to do it,but the rain held off. Maybe we can put a date together for June. June is kinda tough for a lot of people because of graduations and weddings but we will see.
