ok... not the best looking chart now that i can see it next to the last chart but not bad either.

first thing i have more fuel system now so i put smaller meth nozles in there. i am flowing about 1/2 what i was before.

2nd thing the last dyno was at 16deg, this was at 14deg, converter sliped on that last run so we stoped before we got around to trying more timing. it gained 11hp last time going from 14deg to 16deg.

3rd. see the converter slip. it uglied up the chart from 4500 to about 6000rpm.

4th. didn't have time to tune around the meth hit. you can see the iat's drop and the a/f ratio drop into the 9's. that didn't help the power from 3100-4100

soo, if you just look at the chart from 4100-4500 and then from 6000 on up i think you get an idea of the numbers.

peek hp numbers with unlocked converter were 571rwhp. locked were 635rwhp/600rwtq. i have my doubt i will be able to make this tranny work at this level. no lock up for sure, that only works if i manualy lock it up with a non beta scan tool. programing it to lock at wot does not work.

60lb injectors and a boost a pump.

injectors are at 67%. i just noticed the log goes to 6900rpm. it pulls good up top.

i am driving it with no lock up at all and it drives fine. i am going to keep this converter, i am 99% sure they will come up with a tuning fix before long.

What was your fuel pressure at, during full throttle. Imgetting a nasty fuel pressure drop with 60lbs inj. meth kit with single maxed jet and a magnavolt. WOT fuel pressure goes to 46psi and sometimes a bit lower. Thinking on adding a second jet of meth temporarly until I do something with the fuel pump.

i have an msd boost a pump. by 9psi of boost it is over 21volts. the lowest fuel pressure i saw was 52psi. injector dc on both the locked and unlocked pulls were at 67%.

when i say i am flowing less meth than before i am still flowing quite a bit. i have a 15 and a 5 nozzle and the pump is at 100%. from some testing i did that would appear to be about 40lb/hr worth of meth or 40hp worth of fuel.

your running the same boost as me but with a larger engine and maybe a little less meth. also you boost a pump may not go as high as the one i have.

Thanks bud, just ordered a dual nozzle kit with a bigger meth pump from 150psi(old pump) to 220psi(new pump).

Crazy looking curves Jim. I'm not a fan of the triple disk converter. I'd rather have a really efficient single disc and run it unlocked at WOT. This is much easier on trans and driveline parts (plus tuning is a no-brainer). So how are the street manners compared to the stock cam?

i loved the tripple disk in my truck and i locked it up all the time at wot. just need a few more tables from hptuners for this converter to work well. i saw they had some new tables and thought that it was the fix but the most recent tables they released didn't help much.

if you smoothed that graph from 4100rpm to 5800rpm you would get an idea of what it should look like without the slip.

car runs hard and drives nice. idles at 650 and it could be lower. pulls like mad up top, the dyno chart stops at 6500 but the log goes to 6900. i can tell you at 6500 on the street it is not even close to done. the car gets sideways at 80mph.

i wish the converter hadn't sliped. we would have worked the a/f a little more, added a little timing, extended the run to more than 6500. all things considered i am very happy with the numbers. this dyno is stingy and hard on parts. we had 300lbs of sand in the trunk, 2 people in the car, lower air pressure in the tires and we were still smoking the tires on the dyno(just like the street)

my next step is to log the actual pressures in the tranny, at least the ones i can get access to. i want to gather as much info as i can so i can see what effect the tuning changes are having.

nice. these 6l80e's are tuff from the factory but with guys like that jumping all over them they are going to be really bad ass in no time.

Yes, Chris runs the converter side of things. They arent the same company since Chris has really started pushing their converters but they are related. Kinda like Wal Mart is to Sams, or back in the day how FLP and FLT were. You can go to the trans shop and get your trans rebuilt and go out back and get a converter from Chris :D
