racing a moded STI

I have a friend at work with a modded STI and we are going to race when Union grove in WI opens since we are both running summer only tires. I am going to lose since I am bone stock but its for fun. unless someone wants to donate some special spray LOL. I will get a list of his mods and post it. I want to say he is running mid to high 12's

Being he is not stock an you are he prolly will walk you. But it lets you know where you are and then when you get some mods it will be diff story.

When I get mods its only going to be headers and full exhuast and underdrive amd maybe a ported intake and tb. I dont want to go to crazy

Headers, full exhuast, udp, add cold air and you sitting where i am and few others on here. Granted have to get a good tune to go along with this. Do this and it will be a race that drivers decide who wins.

You will still be able to take him with the mods you said you want. You your self be running high 12s. So it will come down to the driver. Also you can cheat and throw some sticky tires on stock rims.

Why cant he. Long tubes, plus full exhuast, ud pulley, intake and a tune. He looking at gaining 60hp or so to the wheels. And some here are running low twelves with these mods, a stall and sticky tires. Hense George, drugs to name a few. Plus look at some of the times post in the time slip thread. Soem high twelves there with these mods.

I'm near Union Grove Dragway, if I load the stock in my car we can tune yours with my Superchips tuner. That should knock about .5 seconds off your QM time.

Thanks DR. i dont mine losing with a stock car. But I will let you no what day I am going. I want to get my other friends with Silverado SS' s to do also one is blue and runs no tailgate with black wheels and the other is a black one

I raced a 09 WRX with a full exhaust. I dont know how much this sti is modded, but the wrx was fast from the dig. He would jump a car from the stop but by 80 I closed the gap and if we would have raced past 100 I would have had him. The WRX's grearing is better for a drag race. If the sti is 04-06 then he has much shorter gears. My 06 STi's 4th grear ended at 100 and I had to shift to 5th to finish the 1/4 mile. 07 and up have longer 4th and it goes to 117. So with your future modes it will be a drivers race. Good luch and have fun.
