I believe that the bumper is different on those cars. So the lights will not work.

No, those are for VZ. The G8 is VE.

Correct.

VT,VX,VY & VZ were all the previous generation body shape. Nothing from those (except maybe a few badges and wheelcaps) will fit G8.
