How many G8's are in Canada?

Here in Calgary, I own 1 (V6 - G8) and a good buddy also owns 1 (V6-G8). I know of 2 GT's down the road from where I work and have seen at least 2 - V6's not far from where I live.

That's cool, my dad has a GT as well, although to him, it's just an appliance to get back & forth from work. He did say that he keeps getting asked about the car at gas stations, and he also wondered why kids keep pulling up beside him, trying to get him to race. He wasn't aware that he had a 6.0L V8 :facepalm2:

Well, based on my slide-deck that I used for training sales people across the country on the G8, I had listed the 2008 Calendar Year as having 2,471 units coming to Canada. 70% were V6, the rest V8 models. 98% were retail units for that initial launch, and we were expecting an eventual 19% increase in sales over the Grand Prix.

I'd believe this guy.but I'm in a part of Canada where trucks are more promenent.not to many nice cars up here on the northern tip of the island. So my calculater says 741.3 gt's.

I can say with great certainty that there are far less G8's here in Canuckastan than in the U.S, particularly the GT variant. I spend a great deal of time on the road around the greater Toronto area and can go days or even weeks without seeing a G8. I find quite the opposite when traveling in the good old U.S.A...

As for colours (sorry, color for my American friends) I see mostly the darker shades up here with the odd Red one tossed in... can't say I recall seeing a white one at all. There is a chap running around the west end of Toronto in a lowered Ignition Orange GT that looks sweet... the car not the guy!

Sorry for the tardy reply... I'm in Scarborough. I joined the Canadian G8 club board (same screen name) in it's infancy, thanks to Peter... as you said.... it's been slow. I've had my G8 since Oct. of 2008... I park it in the winter and it hasn't even been driven in the rain... so it only has about 6000 km on the odo.

That's awesome! Wish there were more (ANY) G8's on this forum from Ottawa. I keep seeing one going in the opposite direction from me in the South Keys area of Ottawa but can never make contact.

Burlington Ontario here. I've met a few G8 GT owners in Southern Ontario over the past 2 years when I was selling my 18" wheels and my Pypes exhaust. There's a silver GXP owner in Oakville (it's for sale!), that I've met. There's a red V6 in my neighbourhood, too. When I take my car to the car show at the local mall, I'm the only G8 there.

East York here. Mine was a former GM corporate demo. The person turned it back in after 3 weeks. 609 miles. (986km) Stole it from the dealer who was desparate to move it at Christmas time.
