I was reading somewhere but cant remember where that the law is under review. Lets hope it passes. First tint and a 20$ increase in renewal fee.

I would like to see that happen, too.

Mine will be removed when it goes in for tint and paint and fill the holes in the bumper from the arrow and the plate holder

Good luck, every time they review it here in Ohio the Highway Portal go nuts and the law stays the same.

WI was thinking the same until police lobby stepped in. They want them to stay. Too late for me though, I don't want to see what's behind my plate.

I do not have my plate on the front and have been lucky so far. The whole front plant thing is just stupid. The State will save somthing like $20mil a year by getting rid of them but the FOP just has to much power here.

I was following everything when they were trying to get the laws changed, but I didn't hear that it was actually changed. Are you sure Illinois is allowed 35% on front now because I will have mine done this week if so. All I did previously was the rears so as not to be ticketed.:popo:

I found the link to the public act that has the whole bill written out. I'm not sure that I am fully understanding it though. Any lawyers wanna take a stab at it lol?

Maybe I'll try reading through it when I'm a little more awake.

:popo:I will leave mine on. District 17 State police have too high of a ticket quota and will stop you in a heartbeat for no front plate.

I am sure you have seen these, but have you checked out those remote control powered retractable license plates... I saw one on a G8 and it was really cool...police pulls you over and you hit a button and plate pops down... and police then get confused cause they thought you didnt have a plate.... interesting.....
