THIS CAR IS FREAKING AWESOME!

I woke up at 3:45 today to take my g/f to the airport and am still up at 10pm.

So far I have debadged all but the GM chicklets (ran out of time), installed CAI, did the GRRRR8 intake plenum mod, installed my auto dim rear view mirror and made the hood scoops function. The car had only 6 miles on it and the fuel was SUPER low so I filled it with 91 straight away.

The intake growl is orgasmic! :mellow:

I'm going to sleep! Tomorrow's another day of modding...

Chris, You told me October 26th which is Sunday. The car came in on Tuesday but the fleet guy was on vacation. They didn't read the instructions and installed the damn licence plate bracket!:footstomp:

OK so all of you know this wasn't the dealers fault. We (our company) gets all our cars from Enterprise Lease (rental company) and the only issue I had with them is that they didn't keep me in the loop on what was happening. Thanks to Chris (formerly with Vector) he helped me find it which cleared a lot up. It was in "Quality Hold" which is a GM thing. Why I don't know.

Anyway... I drove it to work this morning and I wanted to drive it back home and then back to work and then back home and then back to work...:first:

It's awesome! The CAI really makes it sound bad ass IMO. This weekend if the weather clears I plan to install the M/F cat back. I need to sit in it and play with things a bit and setup XM.

OK I setup this Tuesday for my tint and vinyl wrap... DAMN that hurt! Only going 16% all the way around not counting the windshield.

I have them covering a lot more than just the front. My thought is to NOT have mudflaps and use this vinyl. Guess I'll have to invest in some of that cleaner from Adams...;)

Today I completed the exhaust, pulley and rear subframe bushings and its first oil change.

It has 130 miles on it. It now has everything done to it but the hoses and the lower panel mod which will wait till after winter.

OK so I spent about 4 hours today detailing it. I had to remove the GM Chiclets and then all the goo left over from the plastic they ship the cars with. I then clayed it all as it was VERY bad after sitting so long in Cali and then followed up with some 3M scratch remover followed by some Scratch X and then Adams Buttery Wax which by the way is AWESOME!:banana: The car somehow looks new! lol Actually it came out very nice. I also had to use some Griots mild window polish on the windows to remove all the crap from sitting in Cali so long. I also removed the front plate holder which left some 1/4" holes so now I need to find some black insert to fill them. I then took the car over to grab lunch and wouldn't you know it... IT RAINED! The only F'ing cloud in the sky! :disgust:

By the way. I bought a bunch of Adams stuff (not all here yet) and must say... Their Micro Fiber towels are AWESOME! They are SOOO soft and do an amazing job removing the wax. If you've thought about it but couldn't pull the trigger on their stuff... Do it! You'll be happy you did.

They aren't horrible but they aren't totally the body color either... They will be covered with the clear vinyl tomorrow so no worries from now on and with the Adams clear vinyl cleaner and polish I will be set! :cd:
