I've lived in RI for 20 years now and although Narragansett stopped brewing here in the state a while back, I never tried it. It's now brewed somewhere in the midwest with corporate offices in RI. There is a push to bring brewing back into the state. Regardless, I picked up a six pack of 16 oz cans and tried it for the first time. Very impressed with the taste but I'm wondering if it's at all different from when it was brewed here in RI. Has anyone tasted both? Differences?

Crown is good stuff too although I do prefer beer.

I'm my updated Solo axle backs any second now and plan to install them when they get here. Sounds like that would go well with a Narragansett. It's never too early to quit work and have some fun!

well I should say the first time I drank beer (age not important). I got so sick. I did find out later that the beer was left over from a party the night before and was warm cold warm cold. So everytime I try to drink a beer the stomach says NO!!!

If I feel I cannot pronounce the name of the beer after a few of them to order more, I won't order it in the first place.

Brewed in Lacrosse, WI. Really not a bad tasting beer. Just had one while installing the j pipes.

Ha ha. I was at Falling Rock tap in Denver. Ordered a Stone Ruination ale. Had a few actually. Towards the end my buddy noticed I had been calling them Urination ales. :drunk2:

Sounds like the first time I had a Hieneken when I was in my teens. That beer was skunked so I always thought Heine tasted like that. Never had another for probably 15 years.

However, my first beer (ice cold Bud) was when I was about 16 in summer camp. A couple of counselors snuck the beer in and gave it to us. It was the best tasting beer I ever had - well almost. Everytime I drink a Bud I think back to camp. The counselors ended up getting caught and had an early departure from camp.

Probably Capital Brewing. They are a contract brewer as well as produce beers of their own.

I just had a Ruination a couple days ago... pretty decent. I've always been happy with Stone's offerings.

Stone is a great brewery! Ruination is one of my all time favorites. Unfortunately we don't get it in Iowa or Illinois.

Pour it in a glass and don't drink from the can!!! JK

I like it from the bottle as well. Not sure if Narragansett has bottle but will have to check next time.

The Noble Pils is good too. I'm getting thirsty. Time for another.

It must be different because the original stuff tasted like weasel piss. We avoided it like the plague when we were kids.
