Not 100% sure, but it probably has to do with the fact that they have to edit out around 20 minutes from each episode.....that or program scheduling conflicts.

Series 14 which just aired in Europe will begin to air as soon as all 7 of the episodes from Series 13 run, which airs tonight.

There is no way that Schumacher could be The Stig. Schumacher is of a considerably smaller build than The Stig. If they stood the two of them next to each other, the difference would be glaringly obvious.
