Did it make a difference in performance? If so did you do a before and after at the track?
Also with a supercharger I know you are not suppose to use this because it will underdrive the supercharger. Can't you use a smaller pulley on the supercharger and equalize things out?
And you would still get the underdrive benefits on your accessories.
Thanks

It's not ideal, you will have less contact area for the belt on the crank pulley which can lead to belt slip resulting in less power. If anything, generally you overdrive the accessories with a larger diameter crank pulley. Overdrive crank pullies are currently available from Innovators West, Powerbond has them now too and they should be available really soon as well.

if not running a supercharger does the underdrive pulley work?
also with your dod vs non dod high lift cam which provides more performance?
labor wise what is the difference in hours?
thanks

Yes, it does work. Back when I did the testing on it with my G8, it was worth 3-8 rwhp on the dyno through the curve. I also gained 1 tenth and mph at the track. By the way, Powerbond=SLP(Powerbond makes the SLP pulley and SLP puts it in a SLP box). And we always have the Powerbond pulley in stock.
As far as the cams go, the DOD delete cams will give more performance because we are limited to what we can do with the camshaft profile with the DOD still in place. As far as labor goes, we charge about 7 more hours to do a DOD delete kit due to the fact that the heads have to be removed, and the lifters and lifter retainer trays have to be replaced, which also involves cleaning/prepping the deck/head surfaces, and chasing the threads for the head bolts in the block, removal/reinstall of the headers etc.

if you are having noisy lifters, etc., it would be a good time to get rid of the dod. your kit for 1200 plus dollars seems reasonably priced.
so on a non delete i would figure about twelve hours vs. a dod around five?
tucson is a little far away from you. :)

Dod cam figure on 8-12 hours(you have to change the valve springs too). And 15-19 hours for a dod delete kit.

thanks for the information Mike. expensive to change cams in these cars. around 800-1200 in labor for the dod and 1500 to 1900 for a non dod. if you love your car and will keep it atleast six to eight years definitely worth it.
one last question. with the dod cam can you change the lifters without removing the heads? as you can tell i do not have experience at this.

You can not change the lifters without removing the heads. You use the stock lifters which is why you are limited on the camshaft profile you can use.
The shops out there charge $100 per hour??

My dealership shop charges 119.00 an hour for heavy line... (engine/trans internal work). I have been told by a couple warranty companies that we are low.

So, it costs you guys the same amount of money basically, to fly me out to you and have me do a cam install on your G8, as it does to pay a local shop (on the high side anyway). Interesting...
