I just found a 09 G8 GT, moonroof, 22k miles, blk/red leather and chrome factory 19" wheels. They are wanting $25,500 out the door. Does this seam like a good price for this car. Also, what are the differences in the 09 compared to the 08 and any problems that I should be aware of to keep me from buying.

Thanks,

Rich

Rich,

Have you looked around for a brand new one? You could probably get a new one for about the same price, or just a little more.

no new ones to be found.

Seems a little high for the mileage. That's just my opinion though.

Are you looking just in your area for a new one, or have you checked other states?

On the other board someone just bought a used one with around 10,000 miles for about the same price, so that seems to be about right for a used one (from the dealer). You could probably negotiate a little b/c of the mileage on the car. As usual, buying one from a private party would save you a bit. There have been some fairly heavily modded ones for sale on here for not much more than that (if you plan on modding.)

Talk them down man, don't pay $25,500 for a used car with 22k miles on it. So...NO, that's not a good price.

It does seem like an awful lot of money considering the mileage. I'd say it's worth $19.5 tops.. IMHO:)

That's closer to what I was thinking.

25,500 is with almost 2000 in taxes. Problem is that there is not much to chose from here in AZ. Also might go a different route, future wife just told me to start looking for a corvette?? We will see.

With the rebates they're offering, try to find one somewhere else in the country and just fly out to it and drive it home. Right now is a heck of a good time to buy a new one, because they're trying to get rid of all the Pontiacs on the lots. The price difference between a new and a used one is not going to be much. I've heard of people getting new ones for like $26k out the door.

Am I the only one who has been car shopping the last month or so? My wife has an 04 CTS 3.6L. We want to replace it with a 2007 3.6L. I have shopped all within 100 miles and the CTS 2007 with less than 30,000 miles are running $23-24,000. No Nav.

What does used CTS pricing have to do with used G8 GT pricing? :uhm:

Maybe he means to say that dealers don't seem to be lowering the price too much on any used cars these days, but that's just my thought
