I did a dealer search in my area and only found one G8 V6 model. No GTs to be found anywhere around here.

I am actually happy about this as it makes the car a little more exclusive in this part of the country.

if you bump the search area to more than 25 miles you might find some. I know when I bumped min to like 50 miles or so I found some I would LOVE to have. God-damn college student, no money, blah blah:footstomp:

I couldn't find one at first either, but I "chatted" with a service rep on the pontiac website. She found me 2 GTs and 2 GXPs. The 2 GTs were within 40 miles of our home; the 2 GXPs were in Richmond Virginia at the same dealership.

I'm taking a bus up to Omaha on Monday to pick up a Sport Red V6 for my brother back home in CA. Too good of a deal to pass up, esp. w/$3800 credit on his GM card. Cost to him is $18,875. He couldn't find one out there so he'll fly in, drive home.

F*** Haley. I wouldnt get another car from them if they paid me to take it. I bought my GT there and I got a really good deal. I paid 27k out the door. A few months later I took it in for some service work and they said they would void my warranty with any upgrades as minor as an intake. I said thats fine and went to Capital Pontiac. They didnt give me any trouble at all. I would have loved to get a GXP but they wouldnt negotiate on the price at all.

That unfortunately is why GM will never be a World Class Automobile manufacturer; they continue to kill the value of their cars through rebates and make the owners who purchased a vehicle regret buying the vehicle new from the dealer.

My husband really wanted me to take a ride down there and see the GXP before I bought the GT, but I didn't want to go that far! Seems like it would have been a wasted trip.
