View Full Version : So I might need to sell my G8

When I bought my G8, I had 2 roommates and I was in the black by far. Then some creditors came out of the woodwork and I had to pay hundreds more a month in bills. I was OK. Then one of my roommates left. I was OK. Now my second roommate is leaving, and I'm screwed unless I can replace him. If I can't, then the G8 has to go. Please help me decide what it's worth.

2009 G8 GT. White hot. 8800 miles. Sport package. Laser Interceptor laser jammer professionally installed very nicely and I can include my Escort Passport 8500 X50 RADAR detector if the buyer is interested. It's been in a minor fender bender up front and has been repaired using the GXP bumper and everything looks and drives PERFECTLY. I am confident in my body shop guy; I've used him for years and so have some of my family members and friends. I am confident that the paint is better quality than stock. The front has a clear bra. The interior is perfect.

I don't have any pictures available at this moment but what would you guys say by that? I know the fender bender is going to bring the resale value down too much in a lot of peoples minds, and I can't really fully blame them, but those people can screw off when I try to sell the car. Though feel free to post your thoughts about that in here.

In IA if it's under 3000 bucks (I think) you don't have to divulge the information...

To be honest you are screwing yourself by not having pictures of the car posted BEFORE telling the world the car's been wrecked.

Good luck with your situation. Perhaps you'll get that 2nd roommate and won't have to part with your car after all.

I would say any where from 25K to 29K. What part of MA?

Just north of the RI border. I can't exactly post pictures right now; I'm at work and I have yet to take any. I did not have time to take any this morning and I ought to wash the car before I do take some, which would mean I can't really get to it 'til the weekend. The car looks amazing. So much better with the GXP bumper.

There's a few for sale on Ebay.

Looks like 25-28K is the range.

lol @ no pictures. I probably have 30 pictures on my phone, 200+ in my photobucket and another 50 - 75 in my facebook/myspace.

I dunno, I just never really was one to take pictures of my cars. I'll get some taken but it's going to be tough to do before the weekend.

Northern border, MA side, is Douglas to Franklin... not long at all. My town is called Blackstone, though...

sell a kidney first. It will pay off your G8.

Pretty sure I've got it worked out so that I'll be able to keep both the G8 and my kidneys :)

Just curious-is moving to a smaller place that you can afford on your own an option?

A single room apartment costs nearly as much as my mortgage, and for various reasons that I don't want to get into, selling the house is not currently an option for me. But I should have another person staying there next month. Besides, as much as I love the G8, I'd rather drive a 1982 shitbox Honda Civic than downsize my living space.

Agreed!

Sounds like you have your priorities in line...

Living space over G8 is a good choice.

+1

I could NEVER move back to an apartment. I enjoy having the room and the ability to make noise (and a million other things like walls that are other colors than white).

Priorities are in order - hope you find a roomie.
