Honestly, you need sticky tires, a line-lock, and a day at the track learning to be consistent on the launch.

Until then, nothing you do is going to change things.

Do you really want a dyno sheet that says 475hp and a time slip that says 12.25? You don't need more power, you need more launch.

Amen. I have the tires (MT ET Street Radials). I just think a different tune (or cam) will result in better times. There have been people with less drag racing experience (I am far from super experienced), that have netted better times with different tunes & cams......

Oh well, it's all good.....

I agree with you and George. You need traction and a different tune. Something doesn't add up with your times. Did you run at any other tracks? Some track are slower.

Mike I assure you I could get that car in the teens easily. It might take a few tweaks to the tune, BUT until you see 1.7ish 60fters you wont know how fast it is.

My ONLY concern is enough traction to get under 11.50. If it 60s in the 1.60s, I will be talking shit for months!!!!!

I have done this for too long. I guess in a way thats why its no big deal too me. My guess is on the very 1st pass I will run the fastest time. If I do, I wont make a second pass. Why kill the car when I already know what its capable of.

I want to save enough for a mid 10 sec pass on the bottle. :)

Got a VY HSV M6 its 2004 model like a 4 door loaded GTO I guess . Still has a cammed 5.7 in it but is about to get a 416 in it just getting the rest of the bits together now for the install.

I got sick of driving an auto around needed a stick shift.:)
