Proves that with the right tires the G8 is a performance machine in the snow as well.

We got ice and snow yesterday, last night and this morning. We may have 5 or 6 inches total.

I had BOTH hands on the wheel when I took this. Of course the iPhone was being held with both hands as well... :)

Here's the video! http://gallery.me.com/cssmith4ever#100232

Perfect timing was me getting my new weather tech floor mats/tubs yesterday. They fit like a glove! They could be a bit more abrasive so my foot doesn't move but they will hold what looks to be 2 or 3 gallons of liquid. :woohoo:

LOL I love my apples... I can share it on youtube as well... It's really not that interesting... Just proof that some of us use our cars for everything and didn't make them garage queens... lol

Give it a bit to process...

My last 3 cars before the G8 were either a 4x4 or AWD vehicle and this G8 does as well IMO. The only con is the ride height. Other than that it's amazing.

More vids coming soon!

I tried this morning with TC on and I couldnt even fishtail. Granted it was only slush. My Michelin Alpin's are tight.

If you think about it, the vast majority of police cars are RWD Fords, and they seem to do just fine in winter driving conditions. Our cars are pretty heavy, so should do good as well. Mine, however, is in an underground parking lot under a nice cover for the winter :) No need whatever to risk getting it smashed driving around the Ottawa area, since I live a 5-minute walk from work.....

You had the sexiest woman on TV on your radio. She is gorgeous. I heard her voice and forgot what your video was about.

Yep! Bought mine to drive! Not to look at...

It truly is impressive what the tires do.

Thanks for the info and vids. Having a hell of time getting around in KS after the recent snow storm. I ordered a similar setup to yours and will be here next week.

Yeah, winter tires are amazing. My last car was RWD also (IS300) and with winter tires I could drive it through snow so deep that the underbody would leave trails in the snow and still not get stuck.

I'm curious to see how the G8 works out in the first ice/snow storm. I have Dunlop Graspic GS-3 studless ice and snow tires on the car now.
