Curious if there is a good set of ramps to get this car up on to do our own oil changes? The ramps a buddy has are just too steep and don't want to bottom out. Anything out there at the local stores? I.e. Murray's, Autozone, etc.

Or if not, maybe online? Please advise what brand / model you use, would like to avoid trial and error... gets expensive. LOL. :)

Thanks!

I cant give you a brand, but the longer the better to help change the angle at a slower rate.

Thanks GRRRR8. Yea, I want to make sure I buy the right stuff. I don't have ramps myself because I could get under my old car without them no problem. Will get my oil changed way more often if I can do it at home. :)

My G8 is lowered so ramps are out. In fact, someone needs to lift the car to get the floor jack under it.

I've got Rhino ramps. They rub just a bit at first, but if you put a 2x6 scrap at the end of the ramp, it lifts the front end just enough to clear without any rubbing.

I bought the ramps from Walmart.

I use a piece of wood a little longer than the front overhang and get no rub.

I bought my Rhino's online but believe it or not they came from Ace Hardware... My bro used them on his Subaru with no issues but I have not yet used them on anything.

I have used the wood trick with my old stamped steel ramps years ago which by the way are VERY unsafe and not recommended. Also make sure you DO NOT use stamped steel stands.

I second this.

"Tomioka Racing Super Slopes are designed to take all that stress and frustration away! They're designed to help car enthusiasts with lowered vehicles reach all front, side and rear jack point areas. Made of strong and light (10 pounds for the set) plastic material, these easy-to-store ramps will be the only thing you'll need to help jack up your lowered vehicle.

Each ramp is 27 x 8 x 3 inches. Sold as a set of two.

The place is local to me and these look very good.

I use Rhinos with a 12" piece of 2x8 cut to 45 degree angle on one end in front of each ramp to put the front up. To put the rear on ramps no wood needed.

I use a 2x6 or 2x8 under the fronts to get a low profile jack under the car and then jack it up. Use a couple of jack stands for safey.
