Ok, thanks. So with that number, plugged into some formula with my ET and MPH I know how fast I am commpared to some other car at some other track across the country? Am I getting it? I have never drag raced, but come spring, I am going to a track nearby and want to have a handle on the lingo.

There are 2 calculators on that link. The first gets your DA, the second gives you NHRA corrected (to the NHRA "standard" track) time. In some cases it may go up, in others down.

You can get a "corrected" ET. Not compare your car to another.
There are factors that limit low ET's. Weather has a lot to do with it, as well as altitude.
Owning a Honda would also limit a lower ET.

Knock Retard

When the knock sensor detects spark knock, the computer retards the timing.

You can track the K R on devices like the Dashhawk.
