Damn Roy! Those front tires are almost off the ground.

Whats happening is this: Our factory rear springs are designed for cargo/passengers. This means that with a full load they will only compress so much and then they actually get stiffer.

If your car had a softer or more drag race oriented spring, the rear would come down further and problably pull the front wheels an inch or 2. :)

Tell what what spring to buy and we'll see if it will.

My debit card is hurting because I had to buy a new pc.....Luckily I can say I don't have any CCs. But who cares if my daughter doesn't start college in the fall.....LMAO

Great pics guys!

Ours would be progressive springs. Pedders makes a drag spring I believe.

I just thought about how cool that would be..... You pull up to the line. The light turns green, you pull the front tires an inch off the ground, and run 11.60s. I can already see the jaws dropping.

Since I haven't been able to drive my car I've been hanging at the starting line. I hear all the things people say about my car and John's. Like:

Those G8s gotta be on the juice...they run too good. Let's go look for the nos lines when they get back to the staging lanes.

They gotta be on the juice...what's that button for on the console ??

That blue/black car runs too good. We need to check them out.

The day I broke the axle Matt heard ppl say "I bet that thing runs 14s"
I did have someone ask if the LL was nitrous I just laughed and said yeah I spray it through the ABS :spank:

I've deff gotten good comments than shit talk. The older guy that ran over before I closed the hood was the best. "I'm a ford guy but this car is bad ass" lol

Quiet 4000lb 4drs running low 12's high 11's tends to get ppls attention.

haha I get a lot of Ford guys coming over. I beat a S/C Steeda Mustang and he was like WTF is in that family car. To top it off he was on ET Streets and I was on stock tires.

I'd rather have radials and nitrous on my car and be consistent on and off the track then be N/A and have to run slicks and skinnies to get a time. Around here its all about what you can run in street trim and radials since we do a lot of backroads and highway runs where you cant run slicks and skinnies. I know its not a big deal as everyone has different goals and uses for their car.

I would rather be a 1/2 second faster. This makes no sense. I run on ET STREETS(thats why they are called STREETS) all the time.

I have my factory 19s on the car right now and there is NO WAY it could even come close to the ET it can run on stickies even if it had spray. Shit at 90+ MPH it chirps or lights up the tires. I wish you lived closer. I assure you as I disappeared you would run DRs at the very least after that.

Why would someone even try to compete knowing a lightly modded G8 needs a small set of DRs.

To each their own, but you are no kind of threat to me without tires.

I read just fine. You said radials, not DR or anything that insinuated any type of drag tire.

I'm going to have to side with Charlie on this one. All tires sold today are radials so to assume that we knew you meant drag radials is a stretch.

Sorry guess its different down there. I've been all over the country and thought it was fairly universal in the racing scene that when someone says they have radials they mean drag radials.

As in whats done to that car... "cam, heads, slicks, nitrous, etc.." or "cam, radials, traction bars, nitrous, etc..."

She's pretty but needs a bath, I got her in Texas and I think she had just left your house cause all she could say was Charlie kicked me out, Charlie kicked me out cause I wanted to ride in the back seat instead of the front. She was so sad I just picked her up and brought her back to Missouri, said she is finally satisfied and what a cheap date.

Any 17x9 F-body or Vette wheel will work as long as the offset is 50-52mm. 54 or 56 might rub the tire on the plastic inner fender.

The bolt circle is 5"x120mm(4.72") on the G8. the bolt circle on the wheels is 5"x120.65mm(4.75"). they will work, but some do not recommend doing it.

I personally have been using 17x9 F-body rims with 26/11.50/17 MT ET Street bias ply tires.
