Quick question guys...

I noticed that after my BlendMount and InvisiCord install last week, the normally green light my rear view mirror periodically turns red. I have never seen this light turn red before.

Attached is a picture just incase you may not know what I am talking about.

The light I am talking about is circled.

ADMIN or MOD: I posted this by accident in the wrong section. Please move to G8 Tech > Electronics. Thanks!

your onstar battery is dying / dead. I can't seem to find the post that referenced this but I wanted to make sure I remembered it if it happened to me.

I think that means the onstar battery is dead.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. I will have my dealer take a look at this.

Also, to the admin or mod, I apologize for the wrong section post. Please move to the Electronics section for future reference. Thanks!

How long do these OnStar batteries typically last? I have owned my G8 since May 29, 2009.

Well...I took it to 2 different dealers and both confirmed that the issue was not OnStar. The 2nd dealer I took it to traced the issue to the Bluetooth module. They changed the antenna but that is not the issue, they ordered a new VCIM for it so they will replace that and see if it is the issue.

I wonder if it has anything to do with my InvisiCord install hooked up into the rear view???
