There must be something wrong with my filter, when im inside the car, i can easily smell the fumes outside. Do i need to replace my filter, if so, can i just follow this video on how to replace cabin air filter (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7af9jQ-zwU)?

The cabin air filter is more for particulate matter such as leaves and pollen than it is for chemicals.

If you are smelling exhaust fumes inside the vehicle, you have a more serious problem than a bad filter.

But to answer your question, the air filter is accessed by removing the plenum cover in front of the firewall on the passenger side in the engine compartment.

Oh, and by the way, that video is pretty much useless.

You can also use the pollution control mode to prevent fumes from entering the cabin while stopped.

My car only has Pollution Distribution Mode. No control mode.

pollution control mode??

Hold down the air recirc button for 5 seconds. It'll go into pollution mode. When you come to a stop, the air recycles, then when you take off it goes back to fresh air.

Love this feature! Also, it helps the AC to run cooler at stops during those hot summer days.
