well i went to the track friday, and i didn't need the helmet. at orlando speedway you have to be below 13 sec to have to wear one. so i save money there. my best time was a 14.1 sec. here are the numbers off the slip. i know if i hade a better r/t i could have shaved off another .4 or .5 and got my time too maybe a 13.6

r/t .635
60 2.190
330 6.081
1/8 9.231
mph 78.20
1000 11.908
1/4 14.146
mph 100.24

what makes me upset a 07 ford mustang gt end up beating me, i had a better r/t and 60 (friends say i was about a car length ahead off the take off)but after that he end up catching and end up running a 14.0, but o well we had fun thats what count. first mod this week cai

Reaction time has nothing to do with your elapsed time. You could have a .000 or a .999 and your 1/4 mile time won't change.

o well, 14 sec not to bad for being stock. i guess i just need more time at the track, so i can bring my 1/4 mile time down. thanks for the info about r/t

What you need are cooler air temps. You would be under 14 sec's, if you had cooler air to run in.

Good ETs for just starting out. Work on the 60ft times. A 2.0 60fter would be a 13.70ish ET.

You did have stability control off, right?

yea i had the control off, i think it was high humidity out that night. It rain in orlando a hour before i got to the track, it didn't rain at the track but the surronding area. and it did feel pretty humid. i rolled off the line didn't want to spend the tires, but i know i have to learn how to get out the hole better. not racing until january, hopefully its cool anuff here in central florida by then. You wouldn't believe how many guys came up to me to check out the g8 they loved style of the car and wanted to see the engine, just left the hood open.
