A buddy of mine was kind enough to come to the track with me on October 25 to Cordova, and do alot of filming. His payment was driving my GXP there, so he is still grinning from ear to ear! He was able to get the videos posted to YouTube, so I am including the link info here.

The first one was my PB at the time. Density Altitude was a wonderful 300', but I was in only the 2nd pair of cars downtrack that day after they dried and tried to warm up the surface. My 60 ft suffered as a result. Here were the official stats from the run:

RT -.036
60 2.113
330 5.685
1/8 8.591
mph 85.89
1000 11.059
1/4 13.129
mph 109.10

That is still the highest mph that I have ever managed, and the tailwind that day didn't hurt.

The second video is me racing my buddies modded '05 Mustang GT, and this was his quickest pass ever (12.988 @ 106.52 with a 1.827 60 ft). We raced 4 times, and he got me 3 out of 4. I made him work for it though, and none of the losses were too embarrassing. He was dramatically helped by 4.11 gears and wider, sticky Fuzion tires. We ran on the road on the way home, and I beat him though. This race was the biggest margin of victory he had because he redlit, and I had a poor 2.134 60 ft (probably from my pathetic burnout). I'm not thrilled posting a race I lost, but his Stang is no slouch, and he drives it really well! It is the only video I have from outside the car, so that's all I've got! Enjoy!

Hmm, I will have to check the link when I get home. I thought it was alright, and it worked fine when I posted it on a different site.

Nice runs Joe! What rpm did you launch at? Nice wheel hop going into second gear... I sure hope the toe rods help mine.

Thanks guys! It was fun to run my buddy in the Mustang. He bangs gears pretty well himself, and the races were all pretty close. I've always thought I could shift pretty quick, but the video allows others to judge for themselves. I'm doing it pretty consistently now too. Twice I have run identical back-to-back passes to the thousandth of a second with a manual transmission. I love when people at the track try to tell me you can't be competitive bracketracing a manual trans car! I was launching at no more than 2000 rpm that day, but last weekend I was launching as high as 2500 rpm at Great Lakes Dragway, but being slightly more gentle with the accelerator. It must have worked, since I set the new PB, and managed a 1.93 60 ft on RS-As.
