I was at the dealers a few days ago and one of the mechanics told me they were going really cheap, too bad. I remember seeing the last 06 GTO at this same dealers a few years ago, should have bought it.

The $4500 rebate has been in effect for quite a while now. I got $4500 in rebates back in July. Not sure when this started. I wasn't able to combine that with the 0% financing, not sure if you can do that now.

Yeah, too bad it seems like all the dealers tacked on an extra $4000 over the sticker. At least in my area.

If you go to Pontiacs site, it say they are giving 0% or a $4500 rebate for "VEHICLES IN STOCK THE LONGEST". What the hell does that mean? The rebate is not for the 2009.5?

I just bought a G8 GT yesterday (11/13/2009). I got a $3500 rebate plus a $1000 "Overage Bonus Cash". So, it looks like the $3500 rebate is standard for all G8's and there is an additional $1000 bonus potential if the vehicle has been in stock long enough. I'm not sure what the threshold is for the bonus $1000. I don't know the build date for mine offhand, but it is apparently an L2 based upon the VIN (so not a 2009.5 and thus lacks bluetooth).

Anyway, you should be able to get at least $3500 rebate for a 2009.5 and possibly more.

I got my G8 about 3 weeks ago and got 5K in rebates here in Michigan, not sure if the extra $500 is nation-wide or regional. I believe they said it was dealer cash. The best deal right now is if you can find a GT with sport and premium that was made before the mid year price bump, so it should sticker out at 33,210 instead of 34,155. If you do, you get the 5K in rebates, plus you're saving like 1K more because you are buying a car that was produced before the MSRP went up by another grand. I'm not sure how many of those are left but there's probably a few still out there.

I checked the internet the other day, there were still some 2008 G8s on the lots. BTW I got my G8 V6 for 8k off list in March BEFORE trade. Go figure. I wonder if there are any GXPs out there.
