MAD MAX LIVES! Was Mel Gibson driving? Too bad you could not pull along side and wave. I wonder what engine the GT (most likely) or the GXP? If he was running the GT version, and you the GXP it could have been real funny.

There was 3 officers in it and I gave them a thumbs up but they probably thought I was being a smart ass.

It was a GT I believe.

This was on the 605 passing Rose Hills

LAPD had been demoing the G8 cruiser for a while, ever since that vehicle posted above was shown.

They have a few on hand, surprised they still have them actually.

Makes you wonder how a state that is nearly bankrup can afford these in the future. Oh yea, I forgot, lets see, Pelosi, Fienstien, Boxter, and Waters. Joe Friday would be proud! But he could not use his classic line, "Just the facts, Mam" with Boxter. She's worked so hard for her title. Then again it would be nice to hear, "Just the facts, Senator."

Those are gt wheels. I'm going to take a guess, its a gt. Just like the chargers they are prolly going to order some of each.

yup 18" gt wheels
i don't think they would want to get too fancy with a cop car as to go with the gxp....those wheels will take quite a beating i'm sure

the day I see a G8 cop car is the same day it goes back to the dealer for a new car...

Umm, why?

I hope that was a joke cause it's not going to happen. That was a demo vehicle. They STOPPED making G8's. It will be a Holden Statesman when they sign the contracts.

I'll let you guys know what I think of it next time I get to check it out. You can go down to the new Parker Center Building downtown LA (Motor Division) and see the car.

Note, new Parker Center is on 2nd and Main St. The old building on 150 N. Los Angeles is pretty much done with no one there except the jail and SID Photo's and Latent Prints.
