where to get a helmet

i'm planning on racing this friday at orlando speedway (first time with this car), the car is bone stock for right now. I'm wondering where i can buy a helmet or even borrow one if thats possible from anywhere. what are some prices i might be looking at if i buy new? i was going to go without a helmet but hate to go below 14 and have to stop racing because i dont' have a helmet. Even though it seems like bone stock people are running average above 14 seconds right now.

Any motorcycle shop would have a Snell and DOT or straight DOT approved helmet. Some cheap a$$ ones too. If you were on a bike I would tell you which ones to stay away from but you're not so just get one that meets the requirements.

thanks alot i'll head that way tomorrow, i'm having a friendly grudge match with a buddy of mines tomorrow at the track. he has a 2005 cadillac cts-v, i know he will beat me, but he's curious as i am to about are 1/4 mile times.

Don't get DOT only, doesn't pass the rules. Snell or SFI.

thanks guys, i was looking on the internet and seen the prices and they wasn't cheap, now i know which ones to get. i shouldn't have a problem finding one now and thanks for the links. tonight i race :friday:
