This was posted on the 'other' board, and I ordered 2 sets.

I got them Thursday, just in time for my time off.
All I can say is....
WHY DIDN'T THEY INVENT THIS 15 YEARS AGO????
I know it's a fairly simple product, but it's awesome! It fits the 8 great (and my Altima & Forester) and you don't even see it regardless of interior color.. I had forgotten it was there until I dropped the straw for my taco bell cup. So awesome being able to just pick it up instead of digging around for it.
I even had another G8 owner sit in my car, and he couldn't tell it was there until I showed him.
This is the best $20 product I've bought in ages, and I wanted to share it with my fellow G8'ers.

Everytime I put my phone in my lap I forget it's there, and it falls on the concrete when I get out of my car. Happens with my sunglasses too. I've ruined 2 pairs of sunglasses that way.

Me too. It's a pain in the ass hauling a gun in these cars. The center compartment is too small and the glove compartment is a pain to use with the "shelf" in it.

Agreed. Whenever I have to leave mine in the car, the glove box top shelf is the only real choice. I've considered one of those mini-safes they make for cars that you can attach to the seat tracks...

That has to be one of the most frustrating things I do. I can't tell you how many times I've dropped that damn phone while getting out of the car and every time I tell myself not to forget it's there.

Actually, I was measuring under there. Only the smaller ones will fit, and my XDm won't fit in one. It would be okay for a pocket gun (PF9 or similar) but not a full sized.

Thats what I thought it was made for. Are there any other possible uses that I don't know about? Nice product, if only Billy Mays were alive to see it.

I can't remember the last time I dropped something between the seats. Let's figure I do it once a year, if it was worth $1 every time I dropped something in there it would take 20 years to be worth what I paid.
No thanks. This is one of those things that sounds like a good idea, but probably needs to be in the dollar store for $5, not $20. Oh, BTW, $8 for shipping. I can priority mail for that much, but you won't get it in less then 4 weeks..

My thought too. I guess I will leave the rear seat console down and let my trunk monkey take care of it.

I just wear my XDM in my holster near the small of my back. I use a Kholster brand.

Mine showed up in 3 days. I've got 10 more sets coming. I'm gonna give them as x-mas presents. It'll work great since everyone I know has bucket seats.

I carry my S&W Model 642 .38 revolver in the center console but I HATE the idea of having to rotate my body to open the lid with one hand while reaching for my gun with the other. Of course I have only been home twice this year and that was the only time I have had a chance to drive her but im gonna have to come up with something when I get home? I dont use the door panel as that requires a LEFT hand grab or a RIGHT hand grab across my body. PLUS, if someone is trying to jack your car at gunpoint and they get the door open then you just lost all advantage and possibly gave up the gun to the enemy? The glove box is two far away in a "Panic" grab? Guess I will just suck it up and stick with the middle console. I dont like putting my gun between the seat and console as that is technically considered "exposed" if you happen to get out of the car when being pulled over, or if the cop happens to shine the light and catch a tiny glimpse there might be trouble?
Back on topic, seems to be a pretty cool invention, might just order one up.

So ordered this...not that I drop things often, but between getting my hand scraped trying to slide up my slippery iPhone that dropped, a credit card, a pen, etc. worth it.
Cool. Even if I see it for $5 in a kitchen store outlet in 6 months, regardless, cool. It's the little things, even if they're just foam;)

I just received mine yesterday. I like them and they fit nicely and like you've said before, no one would really know they are there.
They are pretty basic looking and I could see them eventually going for a lot less, but I still like them and no regrets buying them.

Just got mine today & "installed"...hah, all of 5 seconds. For what is so simple, what a great thing!
Fit perfectly well and having tested with a few things, should eliminate the searching for my iPhone that I've dropped, pennies falling out of my pocket, etc. Good stuff, and again, so simple. Even get rid of an unsightly seat->console gap, if you're so inclined to care about that;)
Don't mind the crumbs. Cleaning day.

Neat video, don't like a lit cigarette dropping between the seat and console. Nothing like a fire in the cockpit to make your day. Wonder if its fireproof?

I wonder if it's occurred to anyone, besides me, that you could accomplish the same thing with about 3 feet of 1" pipe insulating foam from the local hardware store?
Last time I checked the price per foot was about a dollar, which adds up to three bucks, compared to forty bucks?
Judging by the responses in this thread the guy who came up with this is laughing his ass all the way to the bank.
LOL. :)
I've just never had that big of a problem dropping things under my seat. If I do drop something, I just reach down and pick it up... problem solved.

Have a set in my G8. First time I dropped my iPhone and it was still "right there" within reach beside the seat, they were proven to me.
Just put a set without announcement in my mother's '10 Camaro today and will see if she notices and what she thinks.
Very simple product, and yes you could make them...but as they come for the price, it'd be more hassle than it's worth. Well worth it. I like 'em. Enough said.

Who paid 40 bux for these? They are 27 dollars shipped, I love these things and they are very well made... I have hurt my hand fishing for my iPhone which makes them worth every penny.
Good 20 bux spent... kudos to the guy who 'invented' it... I would laugh if someone had pipe insulators stuck in the crack, thats just plain silly.
