Edged out a 06+ vette on the interstate

Was out trying my new vararam. I went by him at about 80,he was cruising. As I cleared some traffic..he came flying up on me..so I floored it. At first he started pulling,then it leveled off..at about 120 I started pulling. Shut it down at 140(traffic),he was about 3 cars back. The second time..same results..I was just pulling alittle more. After that,he just slowed way down...I even slowed down,way down, and he wouldn't come up beside me. So I just put it on cruise at about 80,when I got to my exit,he was about a 1/2 mile behind me. Do you think his feelings was hurt? It had a personalized tag...GINSVETTE. It must have been the wifes/girlfriends..he was solo...

i have ran a vette also from 60 to 85 and he was not even pulling i was catching.. All vettes are not that fast.

And a ls2 vette runs that stock and is better at high speeds.... yet you pulled 3 cars on one on the highway and dont think it missed shifts? but... your right a win is a win

No...I don't think he missed shifts. Remember....I have the 3.27 gears...my car pulls hard at high speeds. Maybe if we would of had a clear hwy and took it above 140..he would have blew past me. I've seen 171 in my car...but to beat a vette....I wouldn't lift.

So youre a 12.2 car now, meaning youre also trapping higher than the 108 you were at Im assuming? I cant see being able to take an LS3 Vette on the highway with a 108mph car, however if you've added ~5mph to that, I can see that being a good race. Remember, ET means very little when youre highway racing ;)

Just forget about it....it was just a fluke... Hell..he might have just left it in
6th and never downshifted.
