The slip says 13.024 @ 107.39. Bone stock 2009 A6 GXP, except for rotofab cai. Here is a brief summation.

5200 MILES ON THE CAR.

10/23/09 +420 DA HOUSTON RACEWAY PARK

1. 2.017.... 13.088.... 106.92
2. 2.042.... 13.095.... 106.74
3. 2.001.... 13.024.... 107.39
4. 2.051.... 13.136.... 107.15
5. 2.027.... 13.075.... 107.39

Actually my goal was to get a 13.15 and I figured if the weather was good I could 'maybe' slip down into the 13.0X area, but I didn't dream that I would be just .03 from hitting a 12.999. I am still going into 4th about 100' from the end of the track, which is costing me about a tenth or two and only a tune will take care of that, and I am not ready for a tune just yet.

Gongrats man...I was the guy with the black G8 that ran the 12.9. It was a great night though I know I could have gotten a better time I never expected the low tire pressure to make me hit the rev-limiter.

Congrats again great stock times...

Nice job! Did you better your 12.999 later in the night?

Hitting the rev. limiter because of low tire pressure must be a part of your custom tune. I have ran all of my runs with tire pressure between 25 and 28 psi and never hit the rev. limiter. The only time I hit the rev. limiter is when I tried to hold 3rd, and that trick won't work with an A6 GXP.

Goatman, you are almost there. Dig in and give it one more try when you get some good
cool weather with low humidity. Nice job.

Hey Brian, heading out again Friday, weather permitting.

locrzn..............yea, so close. I took off the CAI, as I want to see what I can do bone stock. Unlike those selling CAI's, I don't imagine they get those 15 or so rwhp, my guess is a couple at best.

I really want a bone stock 12.9xx.........maybe I can get Brian to drive for me. Dude is in need of Outback and I am in need of nutrisystem :D If 100 lbs= .1, then Brian would have gotten the 12.9xx.....something to think about.

Here is a great little story. A great read from a couple of years ago when I owned my 05 A4 GTO.

HRJ is hotrod Joe, one hell of a driver.........HRM is his lovely wife.........mods were a tune, drag radials, maybe exhaust cutouts or mufflers, the signature changed after I got more mods. Nothing major at that time.

If you are bored, here is another good read. It tells how I got my GTO from 14.00 to 12.12. Some of this could apply to our cars.
