I went to Milan Dragway Last night and got 4 runs in. I have the American Racing 1 3/4 headers and exhaust with cats, Circle D 2800 converter, Vararam intake, and Vector Tune. All runs were in Sport shift mode. I trapped in fourth gear everytime. It hangs in 3rd for a bit before the shift. I think there's more in it if I can get the shifting right.

1 1.92 60ft 12.74 @ 107.92
2 1.88 60ft 12.68 @ 109.49
3 1.77 60ft 12.62 @ 107.97
4 1.92 60ft 12.79 @ 107.85

I have to figure out how to get the time slips on here but I am still laughing at the good time I had. Can't wait till I do a cam and heads at Vector in the spring.

Killer numbers, especially with stock 19s. Not sure how your car runs with no cam (just kidding), but big props nonetheless. :)

I think it shows the car isn't making big hp, thats where the trap speeds come from. The rest of the package is as good as any out there for the mods he has. The converter is the big key with the long tubes, great torque and pretty impressive 60 ft times with just street tires. I think of lot of guys just want to go to big on the converter, this should be an good indicator that its not the case most of the time. This is a great combo most of us would love go have come across, we'll be watching for the mods to come. Great job.

To answer some questions. Yes Milan announced that it had 200 cars registered to run for the night. My launch was from idle with no loading the converter. I stabbed almost half throttle, then rolled it to the floor. I heard the announcer say there were quite a few NO ET cars. That tells me some big wigs could have been testing and didn't want anyone knowing what they run. One run I did hear was around a 6.70 @ 196 MPH. Maybe they VHT'd the hell out of the track. I am still stoked like crazy.
I purposely picked the lower stall and 1 3/4 headers. I thought anything part throttle, and mid range, would benefit greatly. After this, I'm going a small cam with a wide LSA too. I still cannot believe I backed it up three times. I won't sleep for days.
I talked to Tigger's daddy for quite awhile tonight. He laughed at me a lot. I'm so giddy. I will try to keep up with Jay, but that converter he's putting in will have him wetting his seat in Ecstasy...LOL That damn speed bug didn't bite me, it chewed off a limb or something.

Congrats to you man! Those times are fantastic!!! I've got my ARH as the next mod and then a stall. Hopefully I'll be able to head up north a bit to meet you at the track in the spring. Theres a few of us Dayton guys that would be down for running at Milan with you all.

Jerry,
What tires are you running that are allowing that type of launch with a converter and getting 1.77 60s ?

Man, that some pretty crazy stuff. Those 60' times are better than some with DRs! Sure wish I could hook like that...

Wednesday was the first night to the track with the DT headers. With just a cai, headers, and tune, I couldnt get the damn thing to hook for anything. I would launch from idle, roll into it, and if I ever floored it in 1st, tire smoke was everywhere. Ugh... best time was a 13.080 @ 106.26 with a 2.067 60'. Time for some DR's!

Combo of good track and great driving is what gave you the solid 60' times. Great job!

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I hope I can repeat those times. I might take the day off again Wednesday and run it at the last test and tune for the season. I'm not sure If I should end my season on a high note or go for it and prove to myself those 60 fts, weren't a fluke. Three of the four launches felt pretty damn good. I'll keep an eye on the weather and might rool the dice again. This is too fun.
