Hey All,

Picking up my new to me 2008 G8-GT tomorrow. :woohoo:Just adding a couple of items to it ASAP. I have used these OEM Molded Hood Protectors on my two Yukon XL's and feel like they are helpful. That said, this one looks minimal and wonder if it is for looks only. Anyone have one or can lend a review, thoughts etc.

Thx in advance!

I've seen them on G8's when the car was first introduced...

GAY! They belong on a truck! lol

I have the clear bra which works great and protects the WHOLE front.

I like it even though its a little ricey. Deflects rocks and bugs from the windshield. IMHO, bras look much less manly than the molded hood protector.

That's what I was thinking...as noted I have loved them on my XL's. They look like they fit them though. Still not sure on the G8. Hmmmm...

Anyone with pics?

It varies on area but with full window tint and custom clear vinyl pieces cut as well as the full G8 kit I walked out at around 800 bucks.

I think the tint cost around 200 bucks. So it's not cheap but it works GREAT!

I guess if I was going for that rugged "off road" look, I'd pick up a nice set of Michelin LTX tires, and then get this hood protector. Now THAT would be manly. As for my GT, she's sexy - not manly.

Only looks good on black IMO

Yeah...no. Not sure what I was thinking...I'll just stick with one on my Yukon XL. Still debating on the clear bra thing...not cheap but seems to work well. One thing I didn't like was the very obvious line where it ends. BUT...they do protect.

For now...I guess I will just have to bra'less. :secret:
