2nd time out with the car to the strip.

it was hooking great in the 45 degree air, so much I think it was bogging off the line since my 60ft still seems to suck with the drag radials at 30psi.

i was launching around 2000 rpms i think

Have you tried launching off idle? I know with mt TBSS if I stalled it with the stock converter I would get worse 60ft times! (I think it would pull timing)

Drop them DRs to 20psi. I dont know of any DR that should be ran with psi's much more then that.

Most DRs I run 16-20 and ET Streets 14-17.

Running that much air doesnt let the sidewall flex so you cant get that "hit" when you release the brakes.

I'm going to Lapeer soon, they said they are open until Nov. 30th.......... :)

I'm shooting to go to the track at Ubly or Lapeer Sat. 10/24 with drag radials......

Ok I didn't think of the lower pressure letting the sidewall flex more, thanks will do that also next time out.

yeah Mike I think we have plenty of time left for some racing.

Looks like I can still do lots better.

If I and others can stick a 1.90 60fter on the factory 19s, then you can with the DRs for sure and that will give you a 12 sec timeslip. :)

Just wish I got a G8 with oem summer tires, my 18" goodyear ls2s suck on the drag strip.

Like I said it was hooking up fine on the drag radials, so I didn't know where to go from there.

Do most everyone launch from idle or stall it up?

You need to test with your car. Not every ones tune is the same. Some work better at an idle, and some work better stalling it up a little.

I tell most TC off, foot brake to 1000 rpms and leave on the last yellow.

This is a great starting point for beginners.

If you have the stock converter, you weren't stalling it to 2000. Probably 1600-1700.

Mine starts to try and roll out about 1300-1400, I tried that the last time out and didn't work that well. My best 60's have been right off idle.
