That's really cool, brocky used to eat at our house when i was a little kid when he came into Adelaide, My step dad owned Globe Products (Globe mag wheels) and used to race against the likes of brocky and others at that level back in the early 70's into the 80's and they were fairly good friends, brocky was always very nice to me and my mates, can you emagine have peter brock around for dinner when you were 8 years old, I was always a pretty shy kid so didnt really talk to him much.

Yes that would certainly have been something to tell the other kids about at school. There's pics in here I took from the 2nd Anniversary Car Cruise out to his crash site.
When I was about 14, I went for a ride with a pair of local truck drivers from my hometown in Qld. We got to Adelaide on a weekend and they got hold of a very new bright blue Brock Commodore from somewhere. This baldy headed old truck driver had that thing screaming sideways through the Adelaide Hills. His son was hanging out the window throwing up creamed bun and coke. We were all hanging on for dear life.
It wasn't till months later I found out that the guy driving was an ex Formula 3 champion from UK.

Yeah they need to extend the current one right along. That guy had a stuck 100% open throttle & probably had broken steering from the first hit on the other wall. So he arrived twice as fast and in an abnormal area of the second corner.....the current sand trap and tyre bundles were not designed for that type of off.

Same guy had another off on conrod straight a few years ago in another weird place, into a concrete wall head on. He broke his other ankle that time.
