Do you get any TV coverage of it this year ?

I know SPIKE had the NRL grand final live this year.

Paul, I posted something about them limiting spectators to 24 beers a day, was it really that big of an issue?
On another note I love watching this type of racing when i can. Racing here in the US is really kind of boring. There is no alligence of any type, hell they don't even drive cars you can truly buy any more. Just a pretty corporate party here now,

24 is barely enough to prevent Bogans from dehydrating apparently.
:)

The V8 Supercars are barely like anything Joe Blogs could buy either. Just the general bodywork shape and engine block are about the only thing different between the Ford and Holden these days. Thankfully oval tracks are never used here.

Its amazing to see the time difference between them... if im reading right from1st to 10th is only a .5 difference should be a good race!

Yes that's correct.
1/2 a second over a 2min+ lap difference from 1st to 10th.
Something like 4 car lengths seperates 1st to 10th.

Car888 has won the race the last 3 years in a row, I'm hoping for something different this year.

Qualifying happened after rain, so the track went from wet to dry during the 10 runs for pole position. It's not a true indication of speed since they all faced different track conditions.

Tander is on pole position for Sunday.

Tander leads by 10+ sec over Skaife.

A Ford just caught fire for no apparent reason. Who wooda thunk ? LOL

Tander in front from the start?

Yes with lead changes here and there. It bucketted down with rain and the Lowndes car didn't like the wet. Tanders car handled the wet very well & is still leading or top 3 in the wet.
Up to lap 110 now.

Great video Paul. Thanks so much for posting those for us. Murphy sure gave it a go. He races really clean. In NASCAR, there would have been a bump.

Have a listen to the Kelly Bros Jack Daniels Commodore, they've done something funky with the exhaust. It sounds like a 4 cyl motorbike.
Then a BBQ'd Ford.

Yes I think these guys actually pioneered the technology for a lot of the cameras you see in racing, they've been using incar cameras now for a very long time. This year they had helmetcam, rear spoilercam, brakediskcam, pedalcam, diffcam, chopperca m.......maybe 100? cameras.
The TV coverage is very good.
