Got fours more runs in. Ran very consistent. I will post a video of my best run later. Here were my times:

13.247@106.19, 2.039 60' (full auto)
13.260@107.33, 2.018 60' (sports mode, holding 3rd)
13.219@106.02, 1.986 60' (full auto)
13.169@108.04, 1.946 60' (sports mode, holding 3rd)

Little disappointing, but nothing a few more mods can't fix.

Tried all kinds of different shifting techniques. But G8V8 has good evidence from his runs of the same kind of problems I am seeing.

So one of the highest NA traps with a supposed 310WHP? There is something wrong with that dyno LOL The limiter issue in third is an easy fix though :)

It's 310 whp on a mustang dyno.

Yeah, and we have a mustang dyno too ;)

really???? So those 40 hp gains from the CAI and tune are from a mustang dyno?

I was always suspect of the dyno numbers I got. I think they used the wrong parameters when setting it up.

Couple of things to note, to go along with what G8V8 was seeing. When my trap speed was 107+ I was holding 3rd. When I crossed at ~106, I was in full auto mode but seems my ET was decent. I probably should of tried full auto, switch to manual to hold 3rd and then bounce off limiter before the line.

How do you launch? Your times and 60' are sweet! Now that I have been there once it all means more than just reading about it. Did you say you are running 18s?

I used to date a girl that lived on the mountain in Haymarket. Her name was Kitty.

Just got back from the strip in Bradenton, Florida. Best time was 13.48 at 105.23 mph; 60 ft time was 2.099; 1/8 mile was 8.788 at 82.26 mph. This was the best of four runs but all runs were 13.4 or 13.5 at 105 mph. All runs were with a 20 minute cooldown inbetween runs, normal mode, shifting to sport when into 3rd gear and holding it through the traps, a/c off, TC off, helmet on, lights off, windows up, crosswind mostly with slight tail component, warm day here in Florida and humid too!

Some great runs, I think I'm definetly gonna have to get a tune to catch up to you guys. Best I've been able to run is 13.57 with cai and h-pipe and cheap mufflers. Mine as hitting the limiter on every pass.

Thanks guys. Here is the video of my last run. The numbers are sort of hard to make out. My camera doesn't do very well in the evening time.

I think you are officially hooked. I had never been racing before I got the G8 either. I am also hooked. You had great times for your first time out. You will definitely get better times with just more practice.

I am revving the engine to ~1400 while holding the brake. When the 3rd light turns yellow, I hammer the throttle and release the break. I do warm my tires up a bit. A lot of people say that this is not necessary since they are A/S tires, but I seem to stick pretty good out of the hole. I am running on the 18" tires.
