***TIME SLIPS ADDED FURTHER DOWN IN THE THREAD.

Went to Cecil County Dragway today and made 5 passes during a Tune and Test day. Weather was great. Temps from low 60s to about 70 couple. Low Humidity.

This was my first time EVER at a drag strip. Pretty damn cool.

Nornal mode to sport mode then locking 3rd gear was better for me than all normal. In Normal the shift out of 3rd didn't feel right.

I concentrated on R/T on pass 22 to see what I could do. On the others I was trying to try launch speeds and shift modes and did't worry about R/T as all I wanted to see were 60', ET and MPH.

Except for run#3 where I spun the tires while staged (my bad) the car seemed to hook up really well with slight chirping on launch.

I'll scan a post the slips tomorrow.

Pass #1 (to get one under my belt)
R/T .378
60' 2.108
1/8 8.881 @ 81.29
1/4 13.621 @104.87

Forgot to turn off TC, Ran Normal mode. About 1200 launch.

Pass #2 ( see what RT I could do)
R/T .055
60' 2.074
1/.8 8.776@82.33
1/4 13.464@105.75

TC Off, Normal, 1000-1100 Launch.

Pass#3 (to play with Launch RPM, Stuck in stagging a long time)
R/T .320
60' 2.201
1/8 9.016@81.22
1/4 13.753@105.60
TC Off, Normal-> Sport@80 -> 3rd gear trap

Torqued too high, smoked tires, long, long wait at tree while torque braked. FELT stronger through trap.

Pass#4 (To try a lower rpm launch, engine temp 189*)
R/T .204
60' 2.031
1/8 8.627@84.12
1/4 13.263@106.77
TC Off, Normal-> Sport@80 -> 3rd gear trap

Launched near 1000, Very short waits in lane and staged)

Pass#5 (to try to data log the run)

R/T .719
60' 2.085
1/8 8.758@83.25
1/4 13.428@106.53
TC Off, Normal-> Sport@80 -> 3rd gear trap

Launched slightly above idle after long wait in lane and staging.

Good times.

Are there longtubes in the future? 12s aren't too far away.

Excellent runs... Yes, I think there is something with the 3->4 shift at WOT. I tried it last night two times, and it seems to stall or something. Very strange. Did you (or can you) record your runs with your Dashhawk? I would like to see what was going on with the 3->4 shift at WOT.

Yes I did and started a thread here:
http://www.grrrr8.net/forumdisplay.php?f=58

I think it may have hit the rev limiter. I'm no expert and I figure VMS can shed some light but the RPMs bounce after they hit 6300 at the top of 3rd and this is right where power went flat. I could feel and really feel the difference when I slapped to sport mode in later runs when I crossed 80 mph and then pulled back to hold third.

What I don't understand is why holding in Manual 3rd worked great but Normal 3rd hit the rev limiter ,if that is what it did.
