we got this notice back in August

GM "Mark of Excellence" badges on our vehicles

A decision was made last week to stop using the GM "Mark of Excellence" badges on GM vehicles. It was agreed that with GM's focus on four core brands, and less of a focus on the GM brand, the relevance of the badge has diminished. This change will be phased in going forward. This message is to inform you as these vehicles start arriving at your dealership, they are not mis-built vehicles. DO NOT file transportation claims for missing badges, DO NOT re-install the badges, DO NOT file a warranty claim for missing badges. Thanks as always, for your cooperation.

Had my GM chits taken off some time ago... ruins the lines on the car, looks much better without them.

I didn't know they had them on 'vettes :puke: good riddance.

dude.. nothing about your car is collectible. rip the emblems off, mod the hell out of it, drive the shit out of it, and swerve at anything without a pontiac emblem.

More than likely a cost cutting measure. One of those, save a little here and there.

HAHAHA, Not exactly my thoughts, but I have yelled "drive American" at poorly skilled Toyota drivers.

That is what I thought a few years ago when GM started using these badges instead of brand specific type badging on the fenders.

That was the first mod I did was removing those badges along with the pontiac on the back. http://www.lsxnation.net/images/smilies/biggthumpup.gif

I thought GM stood for, "Government Motors", because that's who's calling the shots at GM, in my opinion. Yeah, their like assholes I know.

Congrats to Ford on their profits being up 1 billion! The UAW is circling like sharks.

I do love driving my G8 but when I can find a small pickup with 4wd that I can rehab, it will spend a little more time in the garage. My two day a week retirement job parking area leaves a coat of dust on the car, nasty when it rains.
