View Full Version : 08 Mustang Gt got 8 up.....

On Wednesday I installed my VMS tune and UD pulley but I still had a 1/2 tank of 87 gas. So finally yesterday after running all of the 87 out and filling up with 93 I got to see what the car really had. So I was driving around last night and what do you know a 08 Mustang GT gets behind me. We get to a light and turn right onto a 5 lane road. He gets beside me and I tell him to go. We were doing around 30mph and he takes off so I put the peddle to the floor. My car did not down shift right away (Don't know why) it took about 2 seconds for it to down shift into second but when it did I pulled him hard. By the time I shifted into 3rd I had 3 car lenghts on him and I was still pulling away from him by the time he just gave up:punch:. Got to the next light and he would not even talk to me he just gave me the thumbs up so I have no idea what he had done. I know he had some kind of exhaust work done because his car sounded pretty nice.
First real Kill in the G8.

Tonight I will be going to the track to see how low into the 13's I can go. It is going to be around 79* tonight and being in South Texas that is a hot 79* not a cool one like up north.

good kill!!! like i said a few weeks ago to my buddie who drives a mustang...theres a new horse in town and its not a stang! good luck tonight at the track. get some pics!

Good kill! I really want to run a stock 05+ GT and see how my stock G8 does against it. I don't know anyone with one in my area though so it'll have to just happen.

Its so funny when they rumble up to catch a light with me and have that smirk on their face and then the light turns green and so do they!

I actually saw a 427KR the other day. That thing is wicked. Don't get me wrong, I would still get an 05+ Saleen with a supercharger. If I had the money it would be the Super Snake and call it a day.

Nice kill.

I saw a Mustang of some sort(I believe a Supersnake because of its hood) going the other direction last night and it sounded so nice. It was haulin ass too.

I would also like to race a S197 since it was on my short list. Don't worry it was below the G8 GT

Ran an 06 GTO last week at the strip. I beat him but fairly close. He was turning 13.3's @ 105 mph.
