Yes, they have the LS3, and I believe it's called the Commodore SS-V

I don't believe there is a 'standard' Commie equivalent with the 6.2 LS3. I think it only comes on the HSV Clubsport R8 and GTS.

The closest thing to a G8-GT is the Holden Commodore VE SS.
None of the Holden VE range have the LS3 engine.

HSV take Holden VE's and modify them.
All VE HSV's have LS3 except W427 which had LS7.

But the GXP has no equal in Australia.....it's in a no-mans-land somewhere between the Holden VE SS and lets say a HSV VE Clubsport. The GXP is like a parts bin special. It does not have the brakes or wheels of an HSV. It has more of a Holden SS interior trim level than an HSV. Neither Holden or HSV use Brembo brakes.

You are all wrong!!!!

A Pontiac G8 GXP is called a Pontiac G8 GXP. I couldn't resist, seeing I answered the same on the board.

But, I just read that your looking to get cheap (er) parts.

HSV-GTS-300 aka Crazy Paul is who you want to go through for Aussie parts.

pontiac G8 GT in the US and canada= chevrolet Lumina SS in the middle east = Holden Commodore SS in AUS

Pontiac GXP in the US canada = chevrolet CSV CR8 in the middle east = HSV clubsport R8 in AUS (approximatly)

It's a big stretch of the imagination to see the GXP as an equal to the Clubsport.
In the go department yes the mechanical specs are similar.
In the stopping department the GXP is inferior.
In the level of trim, creature comforts and especially available extras The GXP is way behind the Clubsport.
