Me and a few people discussed going to the track Oct 17th. Weather permitting.(no rain and not 90 degrees) I'll be there as long as the weathers good. Open invite to whoever else wants to come. :woohoo:

This is what lonestars website says:

Basically its a test n tune night with a short bracket racing interval for a small purse.

Gotta see if Texas has the early game but might come out been wondering what I can do at the track. But Damn used to live in South Austin which it was a drive but not too bad now I am another 65 miles further out.

PM Sent and yes the weather is supposed to be really nice! Could be the only nice track day for months without rain, you never know with Texas weather. ;)

Right now the DA is right at +650, best weather I have had since I got my GXP, so I will drive WAY on out.

My problem is that I am comfortable with launching and running at HRP, so I need to learn how to launch at this track. I just know that if HRP were open tomorrow and had test and tunes, I would not drive WAY out to Sealy.

I remember last time I drove WAY on out there, there were supposed to have been other G8's there and I was the only one. I hope others will be there tonight.

Goal is to better my 13.25 which I got on a night of around +1919 DA at HRP.

Had a good time, pretty nice weather althou I wish we would have had some of that north wind for a nice tailwind. :D

Good to meet you old goat. How did you do on your last run? I missed it was way behind you in the staging lanes.

Had a best of 13.210 @ 107.63. The DA was +751 at the time of my best run.

I am just used to HRP and I suffered my first ever wheel hop tonight on all races. I also wasted a couple of hours of running the quarter by getting in on that 1/8th mile bracket. Outside of the launch, the seat of the pants through mid run to the end felt better tonight than in the past, but that may just be that every run I have had has been in DA of >+1900. Tonight I had my first ever mph of >107.xx. Until now my highest mph was 106.23 and tonight my best was 107.63, which I also feel was the better DA. I feel strongly that if I could have had a clean launch without wheel hop, 13.teens or maybe 13.0x would have been there.

Nice meeting all of you guys and gals.

Oh.......about my last race. I lost to a young lady license plates that said BIKINI. Come to find out she has a website and I will post a pic below. Her site is bikiniracer.com and her Toyota is right at the low 11 door.

Here is my viewpoint of her car. :D

I thought she looked "familiar". Raced them in last years 24 hours of LeMons. She must be very active in the local racing scene.

I posted my slip in the 1/4 mile timeslip thread. My best was

13.09@ 107.84

I'm very happy with it as I was hoping for a 13.1. Now to wait for some NEGATIVE da's(was 300-700 last night) and hopefully eek out a 12.99. :D

I think Punisher was in the mid 13.2's and Mohican was in the 13.6's, but I know Mohican had another go at the track.

fiveoh
10-18-2009, 10:45 AM
Mohican said he messed up at the start on his 2nd run, I never heard what it was but I know the 13.6 was his best time. I'm not sure what punisher ran for his last time.

So what were the 60 foot times with those numbers?

fiveoh
10-18-2009, 11:49 AM
Mine was 2.07.... wasnt really spinning too much off the line but I had wheel hop going into 2nd everytime. I'm not sure how people are getting sub 2.0 60's with the same mods but I guess every car is different, or maybe they have less tq managment. Mines at 40% in drive 30% in sport and I was using drive bc it wheel hopped less going into 2nd and didnt want to break anything.
